David Colby

David Colby helps local businesses connect, grow, and prosper.

As President and CEO of the South Lake Chamber of Commerce, David

oversees the operations of 900 member businesses based in Clermont, FL.

Advocating for sustainable business growth and community involvement is

the most rewarding part of his career. David relocated to Lake County in

2016 and has over 30 years of association management experience.

Outside of the office, David enjoys cycling, boating, concerts, and sporting

events. David lives in Clermont with his wife Andrea and children Max and

Madison.

The South Lake Chamber of Commerce is a mainstay in our community with nearly 700 business members to date. We support local businesses with networking, marketing, and advertising opportunities, as well as providing a directory of our members online. We also serve as an advocate for business at the city, county and state levels.

David Colby joins the Chamber after 20 years of chamber of commerce experience throughout the northeast. Most recently, he was the president and CEO of the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce in Hudson, New York. During his time in the chamber industry, Colby has served as the membership director for a regional chamber of commerce in southeastern Massachusetts, as the executive director of a chamber outside of Boston, and as the president and CEO of a chamber in western Massachusetts.
